OUR THEM HAS BEEN DECIDED: We're going with DISTRICT ONE written in the Friends font and our episode title appears beneath it "The One With All The Thespians" and on the back it will say "starring" and then list every school attending.
The shirts will be available at the IE festival (not the One Act festival) - we also need to go ahead and start figuring out approximately how many shirts we might need. Do as good of a job as you can with sizes but I need to know how many shirts we should expect to see. PLEASE EMAIL ME THAT INFORMATION AS SOON AS YOU CAN - BE AS ACCURATE AS YOU CAN BUT I KNOW THIS IS JUST A GUESSTIMATE. WHEN YOU EMAIL ME PLEASE IDENTIFY YOUR SCHOOL AS YOU WANT IT TO APPEAR ON THE SHIRT -AND- GIVE ME YOUR SIZES/NUMBER OF SHIRTS.
At our District Festival we'd like to run a little second hand store that can sell your programs old festival shirts or show shirts - we're going to mark them low to sell and that money will go to D1 so we can start building the bank up and start making scholarships available again. I'd like for someone to be in charge of that - I'll send the money and do all of that but I'd love it if someone else could spearhead the scholarship program.
And as a final reminder, and this is a note to myself as well as to all of you, please keep going and pushing through. Even on your worst days know that you're probably positively impacting at least one kid's day, if not their life. We're lucky because we have jobs that we love - it drives us crazy and there's TONS of things I'd change BUT at the end of the day I can go home and be confident that we're putting way more GOOD into the world than bad. Theatre allows students to become part of something bigger than themselves without having to give up their individuality and that's a rare and special thing.
I appreciate all of you for everything you do every single day - even if nobody else notices it or appreciates it. You're all rock stars - now get to countin' and sizin' and send me them emails!
