I have sent this to a few of you already to look over and offer suggestions and corrections so, hopefully, the document you find is accurate and error-free but as with most things, accidents happen and some things get overlooked. Please feel free to reach out with any questions that you might have. These instructions were shared with me by Jas Warren over in District 9 so if you see anything that mentions D9, I just failed to catch it and alter it. I have adjusted the information in the form to reflect OUR festival deadlines and expectations.
Each troupe will be assigned a Troupe Duty which I will email you about later once I get a better idea on how many students each troupe is bringing. Please review the Time keeper and Door keeper duties (https://floridathespians.com/door-keeper-and-time-keeper-guidelines/) but remember that there will also be written instructions given at the festival. I encourage you to go ahead and have your students start practicing these duties, it will make it easier at festival and it will also make your students more comfortable with these duties and expectations.
This is the link you will use to submit your playwriting submissions. We discussed labeling the files as such: THIS IS THE TITLE OF MY PLAY_TROUPE 24601.pdf. So that's the TITLE underscore and then Troupe Number and in a PDF format. This will help keep everything uniform. Randall Adkison has graciously offered to help host our plays this year on a shared drive, he asks that you not try to log in to edit but only fill out the form and hit submit. Read over these instructions now but remember - Registration opens THIS WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 and will be open until WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 2. Remember to please print out the invoice that you get once you're done registering, make me a copy, and send that along with your check following the instructions in the attached document. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about that, I'm happy to help answer any questions or help discover the answer if I don't know it.
I want to thank you guys again for such a wonderful first District Meeting, I know there were a lot of changes and I hope to make the future ones a little more smooth but I thought the overall vibe was nice and I'm excited to see how this year's festival goes. Special shout out and thanks to all the sponsors who have messaged or talked to me about ways to help out and who have agreed to take on special duties and tasks, you guys are all lifesavers and I appreciate you all so very much. We will get through this this year and it will be an amazing festival full of memories and stories for the ages.
